Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non CDL Driver to join our team for 40-foot container pick-up and delivery operations. This energetic role involves transporting containers efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy duty truck and trailer transport and operate and secure heavy equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate a heavy duty vehicle to pick up and deliver 40-foot containers to designated locations.
- Load and unload containers using proper handling and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards.
- Follow established routes efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules while maintaining a positive attitude with customers.
- Load and secure containers properly for transit, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- No CDL required
- Heavy‑equipment experience required (yard goat, forklift, container handler, flatbed, or similar)
- Clean driving record (MVR will be checked)
- Ability to maneuver large loads safely
- Able to lift 50 lbs and handle tie‑downs/rigging
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable with regional driving (up to 300 miles)
Preferred Experience
- Container yard, port, or intermodal experience
- Hotshot, flatbed, or equipment‑hauling background
- Experience with 20‑ft or 40‑ft containers
- Basic mechanical awareness
