Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats or next steps
- Manage all cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity, providing information about services and wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a tidy and inviting environment
- Coordinate with team members to manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements efficiently
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall satisfaction
- Support food service staff by communicating guest needs and facilitating smooth service flow when needed
Skills
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant workflows beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a lively environment
- Hospitality experience, including hotel or guest services background, is a plus
