Showroom Manager (Part-Time, Hourly, On-Site)

Sportova designs bespoke luxury fitness spaces for discerning clients around the world. We partner with the world’s finest luxury fitness brands to create fully customized home gyms that seamlessly integrate exceptional equipment with thoughtful architecture and interior design.
We are seeking a highly organized, polished, and personable Showroom Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our New Canaan showroom.
This is not a traditional retail sales position. Our showroom operates primarily by appointment, serving homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, and other design professionals throughout the planning and product-selection process. As the primary representative of Sportova in the showroom, you will help create an exceptional client experience while ensuring the space operates flawlessly each day.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a part-time, hourly position. We are not offering full-time employment or commission-based compensation at this time.
Regular showroom hours are:
- Fridays: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
- Saturdays: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
The position also requires flexible weekday availability to accommodate occasional client appointments, product pickups, and deliveries. These weekday needs will not follow a fixed schedule, but they are an important part of the role. We are looking for someone local who has the flexibility to adjust their schedule when needed.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the showroom during scheduled showroom hours.
- Welcome clients and host showroom appointments with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
- Become knowledgeable about our partner brands, products, and design process in order to educate clients and answer questions.
- Prepare product quotations using our internal software.
- Collaborate closely with the owner on prospective projects and client opportunities.
- Qualify, organize, and document incoming leads before passing them to the owner for continued development.
- Assist with follow-up communication and basic client correspondence.
- Coordinate product pickups and deliveries from the showroom, including scheduling, communicating with clients and delivery partners, and ensuring items are prepared and ready.
- Maintain accurate client, product, quotation, pickup, and delivery information.
- Ensure the showroom is impeccably maintained and presentation-ready at all times.
- Coordinate with cleaning services and communicate any maintenance, repair, or facility issues to management.
- Water and care for showroom plants.
- Take ownership of the operational details required to keep the showroom running smoothly.
- Communicate client feedback, showroom observations, lead activity, and operational updates to the owners.
Qualifications

- Able to prepare accurate product quotations and maintain organized records.
- Comfortable coordinating pickups and deliveries with clients, vendors, and delivery partners.
- Interested in luxury design, architecture, interiors, wellness, or fitness.
- Capable of taking ownership of the daily operation of the showroom with minimal supervision.
Experience in luxury hospitality, interior design, architecture, furniture, residential construction, luxury automotive, fitness, or another premium client-facing environment is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and move showroom furnishings, displays, product samples, and packaged items weighing up to approximately 40–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the showroom during appointments and scheduled hours.
- Ability to assist with preparing products and showroom items for pickup or delivery.
