Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Facility Service/Custodian to maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency within our facility during the afternoon and evening hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in custodial and janitorial services, with experience in commercial and industrial cleaning. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, floor care, and basic maintenance duties with professionalism and attention to detail.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial cleaning or specialized facilities maintenance as needed.
- Support light maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting issues that require professional attention.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation practices.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or polishers safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and completing tasks efficiently.
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning duties and lift moderate loads when necessary.
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently during scheduled hours from 1 pm to 9 pm.
