As a Swim Coach, you will lead swim lessons, develop training programs, and promote water safety while creating an engaging experience for every participant. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging swim lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring safety and progression.
- Lead warm-up exercises, drills, and structured training sessions that promote skill development and fitness.
- Monitor participants closely during activities to enforce water safety rules and prevent accidents.
- Provide constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their techniques in breathing, strokes, turns, and overall performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized pool area and ensure all equipment is in good condition for daily use.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about progress, safety concerns, and upcoming programs.
- Assist with organizing swim meets or special events that foster community engagement and team spirit.
Skills
- Proven Lifeguard experience with current certification demonstrating water rescue skills and first aid knowledge.
- Strong background in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or related fields such as martial arts (Karate, Judo), cheerleading, climbing or basketball.
- Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate participants and maintain discipline during lessons.
- Familiarity with health club or gym environments to promote fitness-oriented swimming programs.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse age groups and skill levels effectively.
