POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service are provided throughout the Spark by Hilton. This role supervises staff, manages schedules, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with quality control and brand standards in a hotel environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs and desires of our guests and others in a fast-paced environment. Perform all duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service.
- Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas
- Perform daily inspections and maintain quality control programs
- Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments
- Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned
- Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage
- Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
- Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping standards and room cleanliness protocols
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and proper chemical handling
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems for room status updates
- Understanding of inventory control for linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies
- Knowledge of inspection procedures for guest rooms and public areas
- Basic understanding of maintenance reporting and identifying room deficiencies
- Knowledge of time‑management and labor‑scheduling principles
- Excellent attention to detail during room inspections
- Strong leadership and team‑supervision skills
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff
- Effective communication with front desk, maintenance, and management
- Strong organizational skills for managing daily assignments and checklists
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Skilled in resolving guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Competent in documenting issues and completing inspection reports
- Ability to maintain inventory and place supply orders as needed
- Ability to inspect rooms thoroughly and consistently to brand standards
- Ability to lead by example and motivate staff to meet quality expectations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
EXPERIENCE:
- Customer Service experience preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
- Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
- Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
