Role Summary We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team. The Server Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of the dining room and supporting the service staff to ensure every guest receives an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a high level of energy, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to the standards of fine dining.
Key Responsibilities
- Dining Room Maintenance: Ensure the dining room remains pristine throughout service. This includes clearing and resetting tables with precision, refreshing linens, and polishing glassware and silverware.
- Service Support: Assist servers by delivering water and bread, clearing courses promptly, and assisting with food running when necessary.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly and respond to requests with urgency and professionalism, maintaining the "refined" atmosphere Phoenicia is known for.
- Restocking: Keep service stations fully stocked with necessary supplies (silverware, napkins) to ensure the team is prepared for high-volume periods.
- Closing & Side Work: Complete daily opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is prepared for the next shift.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in an upscale or fine-dining environment is preferred, but we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and a passion for hospitality.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor in a high-pressure environment.
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to anticipate the needs of both guests and teammates.
- Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift/carry trays up to 30 lbs.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
