Admissions Manager

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced professional to oversee admissions and community outreach efforts for multiple post-acute care centers in Whatcom County.
This role combines relationship management, business development, and admissions coordination. The successful candidate will serve as a key connection between referral sources, prospective residents, families, and internal care teams while helping maintain strong occupancy levels and a positive community presence.
About the Role
- Build and strengthen referral partnerships with healthcare providers, discharge planners, social workers, and community organizations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents and their families
- Evaluate incoming referrals and coordinate the admissions process from inquiry through move-in
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful transitions into care
- Develop outreach strategies that increase awareness and generate qualified referrals
- Attend community events, networking opportunities, and professional meetings
- Monitor occupancy trends and referral patterns to identify growth opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and reporting related to admissions activity
- Support customer service and resident satisfaction initiatives
- Ensure all admissions activities are completed in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, admissions, business development, sales, or related fields
- Experience in long-term care, senior living, or post-acute healthcare preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement sources is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate:$28.00-$32.00
