Positio Overview
CYH Technology USA LLC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant Engineer to support project execution and field operations within a fast-paced construction environment. This position plays a critical role in coordinating field activities, tracking project progress, maintaining project documentation, and supporting communication among project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and interested in developing a career in construction project management and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Progress Tracking
- Support project teams in coordinating daily construction activities and work sequencing.
- Monitor project progress and assist in tracking milestones, deliverables, and schedule performance.
- Follow up with field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Assist project managers in identifying schedule impacts and potential project risks.
Field Operations Support
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project activities and collect field information.
- Track manpower allocation, attendance records, and daily work activities.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of site safety requirements and company policies.
- Support field teams in maintaining compliance with project procedures and client requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, RFIs, procurement records, submittals, and project logs.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is up to date and properly filed.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets to support project tracking and management decisions.
Meetings & Communication
- Participate in project meetings, coordination meetings, and site walks.
- Record meeting notes, track action items, and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Serve as a communication liaison between project managers, engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in identifying construction, scheduling, or operational issues.
- Escalate concerns to the appropriate project leadership and support resolution efforts.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance project efficiency and communication.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative and operational support to project teams.
- Assist with material tracking, procurement coordination, invoice verification, and other project-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project coordination preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting construction, semiconductor, industrial, or manufacturing projects.
- Knowledge of project documentation processes and document control practices.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience using project management or document management software is a plus.
