Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and risk assessments for patients across various age groups.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Develop personalized treatment plans integrating psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral health interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
Experience
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
- Experience managing complex cases involving behavioral health disorders, substance use issues, or co-morbid medical conditions.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles, medication administration protocols, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering virtual mental health services effectively.
- Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis codes such as ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
Pay: $95.00 - $100.00 per hour
