Overview:
A line cook is a crucial member of the kitchen staff in a restaurant or food service establishment. They work under the supervision of a head chef or kitchen manager and are responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to Honor Brewing's recipes and standards. Line cooks often work in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, especially during peak dining hours. They must be able to work efficiently and multitask effectively to meet customer demands. Attention to detail, good time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Preparing ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring them accurately.
· Cooking and seasoning food items according to recipes and customer preferences.
· Operating various kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
· Monitoring food cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety.
· Plating and garnishing dishes in an appealing and presentable manner.
· Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
· Assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
· Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.
· Following all health and safety regulations and maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices.
· Adhering to portion control guidelines and minimizing food waste.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
