Licensed Vocational Nurse
Starting Range is $30.00- $31.25
College Hospital is seeking LVN's/LPT's (New Grad's Welcome) to provide care to patients in private practice settings. The position requires candidates who are comfortable working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff, document patient notes, and follow up on any outstanding issues. Responsible for completing assigned duties and for supervision of non-licensed nursing staff. The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient notes, charts, and electronic medical records.

Duties:
- Data collection for uncomplicated, low acuity patients in an ongoing and systemic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychologic, and cognitive status.
- Follows behavior modification techniques in an appropriate and effective manner.
- Adheres to goals of established Behavior Intervention Plan for each patient.
- Performs efficiently in emergency patient situation following RN direction and established protocol.
- Demonstrates awareness of legal issues pertinent to patients on assigned unit in all aspects of patient care and strives to function in a reduced risk manner.
- Remains flexible in responding to unit needs regarding schedules and resolution of staffing conflicts; cooperates with temporary assignment measures of Department of Nursing.
- Audits and inputs patient data into EMR accurately.
- Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
Requirements
- Current valid CA LVN/LPT License.
- Previous psychiatric or chemical dependency experience preferred.
- Ability to collect and report patient data to the RN.
- BLS or ACLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- Basic computer skills.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
