The YLEA Summer Intern role provides youth with hands-on experience in leadership development, cultural enrichment, community engagement, and social skills building. Interns will work closely with YLEA staff to support program activities, assist with youth events, and help strengthen community connections.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with planning and leading youth cultural enrichment activities

Support daily program operations, workshops, and group sessions

Help coordinate youth-focused events, games, and hands-on learning activities

Participate in and assist with community service projects

Serve as a positive role model and help younger participants build strong social skills

Promote teamwork, respect, and inclusive participation

Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment

Communicate effectively with youth, staff, and community members

Attend scheduled trainings, meetings, and program check-ins
Qualifications

Must be a current resident in RRHA Development

Interest in youth leadership, community involvement, or cultural enrichment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
