Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join thier healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with hearing and balance disorders, helping them improve their quality of life through personalized care. Your expertise will support patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, ensuring they receive comprehensive audiological services in a dynamic clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough hearing assessments and diagnostic tests using advanced audiological equipment to evaluate patients’ hearing and balance functions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including hearing aid fitting, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about hearing health, preventive measures, device usage, and maintenance to promote ongoing wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as ENT specialists, speech therapists, and primary care providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Report patient conditions accurately during follow-up visits and adjust treatment strategies as needed based on progress assessments.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program; Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) preferred.
- Valid licensure or certification to practice audiology in the respective region or country.
- Proven experience in clinical audiology settings, including clinic experience with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to ENT (ear, nose, throat) conditions and diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient record management.
- Critical care experience or acute care background is advantageous for managing complex cases.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their hearing health.
- Additional skills such as CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS), blood sampling, manual handling, and medical documentation are highly valued.
