Job Summary: Ardelle Associates, a veteran-owned company providing Consulting and Support Services to government agencies is currently seeking a System Support Specialist to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) in Dallas, TX
Responsibilities/Duties - This position provides troubleshooting assistance and problem resolution for computer systems in a variety of environments. Such assistance and resolutions are provided for personal computers, servers and Local Area Networks (LAN s ).
- The SSS provides support to distributed PC/networking environment including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals.
- The SSS performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.
- Job duties require the SSS to install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, and other application software programs.
- In this position, the incumbent troubleshoots computer problems, perform hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
- The SSS will also provide help desk functions via email, phone, or in person.
Qualifications
Experience providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance to users. Prior teaching/ training experience involving computer applications, preferably database, imaging, or other automated litigation support applications strongly preferred. Must have hands-on familiarity with the network, telecommunications, and operating systems environment of the applications being supported. Prior experience in automated litigation support preferred. Experience with DOJ office automation environments is helpful. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Skill in operating a computer terminal, personal' computer, various office machines (fax, scanner, copier, etc.). Knowledge and understanding of the mission, functions, and litigative activities of the USAO. Knowledge of oral and written communication techniques. Undergraduate _degree valued.
Basic Experience:
Must possess a 2-year college degree or higher. A minimum of two years' experience in legal supp01i is preferred. Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner. Skill in operating a computer terminal, personal computer, various office machines (fax, scanner, copier, etc.). Knowledge and understanding of the mission, functions, and litigative activities of the USAO. Knowledge of oral and written communication techniques.

Pay: $30.19 - $35.28 per hour
