Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement therapy plans, provide direct treatment, and support clients in improving their communication and language skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with the implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Document client progress, maintain accurate session notes, and report updates to supervising SLP
- Prepare therapy materials and assist with administrative/organizational tasks as needed
- Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support generalization of skills
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and clinical standards at all times
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology Assisting, Communication Sciences, or related field
- Current licensure/certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (as required by state regulations)
- Prior experience in speech/language therapy or working with children preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow treatment plans
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping clients succeed
