Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Plumber and bring your expertise to a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair projects. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial sites. Your skills will ensure that plumbing systems meet all safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to remodeling and system upgrades, all while adhering to strict safety regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping, and drainage in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete plumbing tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all phases of work.
- Perform maintenance on existing plumbing systems, troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals, and execute repairs promptly.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate plumbing installation with other trades while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for pipe installation or remodeling projects; demonstrate handyman skills when required for minor repairs or adjustments.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair in residential or commercial settings.
- Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills.
- Experience with welding, pipe threading, gas piping systems, and construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building codes, safety regulations, and construction plans is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics interpretation, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Experience in remodeling projects or maintenance operations (MRO) is advantageous; familiarity with construction plumbing in both residential and commercial environments is desired.
- Capable of heavy lifting safely; physically fit to perform demanding tasks over extended periods; handyman experience or general remodeling skills are a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
