Position Summary
Comanche Gas Solutions is seeking Skilled Yard Operations Technicians to support staging yard operations for mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for safely receiving, staging, and loading high-value equipment using forklifts and specialized lifting equipment. Technicians will work in a fast-paced logistics environment supporting hyperscale construction and infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in material handling, equipment staging, forklift operation, and logistics yard operations, with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail when handling sensitive or high-value equipment.
Job Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Safely receive, stage, move, and load equipment within the laydown yard
- Operate forklifts and Field Lift Pro equipment
- Assist with loading and unloading mission-critical equipment
- Handle equipment weighing up to 140,000 lbs
- Inspect shipments for damage, accuracy, and documentation
- Maintain inventory organization and staging layout
- Coordinate with logistics teams for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Ensure proper rigging, lifting, and equipment handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized staging yard
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
- Complete required documentation and receiving logs
- Support Saturday receiving/shipping operations
- Other assigned duties as needed
Required Skills and Abilities
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Forklift Certification
- Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment
- Experience safely moving large or heavy equipment
- Ability to work safely around equipment weighing up to 40,000 lbs
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to follow operational procedures and logistics processes
- Reliable attendance, communication, and strong work ethic
- Experience with Field Lift Pro or similar lifting equipment
- Experience in laydown yard operations
- Experience supporting data center, industrial, or construction logistics
- Experience handling mission-critical equipment
- Basic knowledge of inventory tracking or receiving systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Driving for extended periods
- Wearing appropriate PPE (respirator, hearing protection, eye protection, hard hat, etc.)
- Ability to safely perform lifting and staging operations
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
