Linwood Country Club is looking for a professional, hardworking, hands-on, and reliable Banquet Supervisor to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, personable, and confident taking ownership of an event from the initial inquiry through the final guest departure.This position will work closely with the Banquet Manager and Catering Director to plan and execute smaller private events, typically ranging from 35–75 guests, including birthday celebrations, baby showers, bridal showers, retirement parties, and other special occasions.The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver and excellent communicator who can balance the many details of event planning while remaining calm, positive, and attentive to the client’s needs. They should be comfortable taking ownership of an event, anticipating potential challenges, and jumping in wherever necessary to make sure everything runs smoothly. The successful candidate will represent Linwood Country Club and the Dougherty Restaurant Group and will be expected to uphold our standards, policies, and commitment to exceptional service.Job DutiesEvent Planning & Client Experience
- Work directly under the direction of the Banquet Manager and Catering Director.
- Respond to event inquiries and leads in a timely, professional manner.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned events throughout the planning process.
- Communicate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and expectations.
- Plan and coordinate events ranging from approximately 35–75 guests.
- Construct detailed event timelines and event orders.
- Coordinate menus, linens, setup details, and other event needs.
- Communicate final event details clearly to the appropriate internal teams.
Day-of Event Execution
- Take ownership of assigned events from setup through breakdown.
- Assist with room setup and ensure all details are executed according to the event order.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding special menu items, dietary restrictions, timing, and last-minute changes.
- Supervise and support banquet staff before, during, and after events.
- Monitor service and timelines throughout the event.
- Communicate with clients and address questions or concerns in a professional and welcoming manner.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in hospitality, banquet operations, event planning, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to work.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while confidently taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of computers, social media, and common office software.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
