TLD is a leading industrial OEM specializing in the design, manufacture, distribution and after sales service and support of aviation ground support equipment (GSE).
Our WI plant, formerly Wollard International, builds Tractors, Belt Loaders, Maintenance Lifts, and Passenger Stairs, for our aviation customers, wherever they are based. All our products are designed and assembled in the TLD Group’s nine factories, located in America, Asia and Europe. We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
Quality Manager - POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the COO, the Quality Manager will support efforts and training to implement and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. As the leader of your team, you are expected to learn the QAM systems and then train your team on these processes.
- Manage quality department personnel – under 5 direct reports.
- Manage the coordination, implementation, and ensure maintaining the ISO 14001 certification.
- Ensure the efficiency of the environmental management system, maintain the documentation process and report all needs for improvements.
- Involve all BU employees in the quality and environmental system.
- Coordinate the personnel involved in the inspection techniques and the quality policy to minimize rejects, increase the BU profitability, improve the quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage supplier audits to improve parts quality and improve continuous improvement. Measure the supplier quality performance.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to audit potential suppliers in the selection process to evaluate their capacity to produce good products.
- Manage the non-conforming product process and coordinate the personnel involved to resolve the problems.
- Maintain and update the required information in the ERP system (Infor LN).
- Actively participate in the product support process led by the PSM.
- Manage and ensure the efficiency of corrective measures.
- Manage and realize the internal and external audits required to maintain the quality system.
- Act as change agent to the BU continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the checklist relevancy and ensure their availability and proper archiving.
- Provide technical support to the engineering department.
- Participate as a member of the steering committee.
- Prepare the Quality Department’s annual budget.
- Participate in the quality department personnel selection, evaluate their performance and propose professional training, as required.
- Ensure that the department objectives and KPIs are met and updated.
- Unconditionally support the continuous improvement process.
- Ensure open communication with the BU’s QAM.
- Through seminars and training, keep a current knowledge level of management techniques.
- Prepare the department annual budget.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
- Manufacturing and Quality Experience as described above.
- Experience managing people and processes including hiring, training, and coaching.
- ERP expertise - Infor LN experience is a plus.
- Microsoft Office skills
- Analytical skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Experience managing people and processes.
- Executive presence to lead and influence others.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
