We are seeking an experienced FERC Environmental Inspector to join our team for a project located near Jamaica, Illinois. This project is a significant endeavor in the energy sector, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who can ensure that environmental regulations and standards are met throughout the project's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of project activities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Monitor and report on environmental impacts associated with construction, operations, and maintenance of the existing asset.
- Review and analyze environmental permits, plans, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement environmental management plans and best practices.
- Participate in incident investigations and provide guidance on mitigation and corrective actions related to environmental incidents.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of inspections and assessments.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and project management regarding environmental compliance and issues.
- Stay current with changes in environmental regulations and ensure that the project remains in compliance with evolving standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related FERC field experience.
- Proven experience as an environmental inspector in the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented and able to conduct thorough inspections and assessments.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, word, excel and PDF.
- Ability to work variable shift schedules to provide adequate coverage for the project's needs.
- Relevant certifications or licenses may be required.
- Prefer past working experience in Louisiana.
