Position Overview
Florida Civil, Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of heavy equipment, materials, and supplies to and from multiple job sites throughout South Florida using flatbeds, Landolls, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, Landolls, and other commercial vehicles in compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Transport heavy equipment, materials, and supplies to construction and environmental project sites throughout South Florida.
- Plan and optimize routes using GPS navigation and scheduling tools to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Secure, load, and unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment, including forklifts when required.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, delivery records, and required transportation documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, dispatch personnel, and field crews to support project schedules and operational needs.
- Immediately report safety concerns, incidents, mechanical issues, or delays.
- Uphold Florida Civil's commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience, including transporting heavy equipment.
- Experience operating flatbeds, Landolls, lowboys, and tractor-trailers.
- Proficiency with manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Ability to safely secure and transport oversized or specialized loads.
- Experience operating forklifts and other loading equipment is preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Certificate.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as project demands require.
