We are looking for a full-time front desk receptionist to manage our front desk and greet patients and call in patients. You will be responsible for all aspects of patient check-in and check-out including scheduling appointments, managing the appointment schedule, answering phones, verifying insurance, prior authorization and other duties as set forth. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and can work with a team to provide excellent customer service.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Greeting patients and checking them in as soon as they arrive at the office.
·Answering phones in a professional manner while assisting patients with scheduling appointments; Verfiy new and establish patients benefits before appointments
·Checking patients in and out with their families or other caregivers.
·Answering basic questions about our practice including our services and procedures.
·Maintaining a clean and orderly front reception area.
·Maintaining an organized patient waiting area.
·Scheduling new patients for treatment sessions, Verify benefits
·Maintaining patient files, including making copies of all documents sent via e-mail or mail. Maintain patient records by filing documents in the appropriate folders according to patient history. Maintain all HIPAA regulations pertaining to patient care by completing periodic compliance reports on file as requested by management. Other duties as assigned by management including but not limited to scheduling patient calls, answering voicemails, greeting patients as they enter the office or exit from the lobby area of the clinic or other clinics we provide services for.
Qualifications
- Medical administrative support and front desk experience in a clinical or dental setting
- Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office, ability to learn EHR/office systems)
- Excellent patient service, multi-line phone handling, and front desk/clerical duties
- Knowledge of HIPAA, patient records management, and basic medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle in-person patient registration and inquiries
- Experience with medical scheduling, filing, and health information management preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
