EHR Applications Specialist (PointClickCare) | Full-Time On-Site | Experience Required
The EHR Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting and optimizing the use of the PointClickCare (PCC) electronic health record system across our Oklahoma long-term care facilities. This role works closely with clinical teams and leadership to ensure the system supports efficient clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation. The position will work directly with the current PCC Administrator during an extended training period to learn system administration, troubleshooting, and optimization, with the goal of eventually assuming full PCC administration responsibilities.
This role requires strong clinical understanding, computer skills, and the ability to translate clinical processes into effective EHR workflows. The position also includes travel to facilities and participation in an on-call rotation to support system needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for the PointClickCare EHR system across multiple facilities.
- Assist with system configuration, user setup, permissions, and role management.
- Support clinical teams in optimizing workflows within the EHR.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with internal teams and vendors when needed.
- Assist with building and maintaining reports to support operational and clinical needs.
- Support system integrations and updates as required.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper EHR use and documentation practices.
- Help ensure documentation practices align with long-term care regulatory requirements.
- Maintain system organization, data integrity, and standardized processes across facilities.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support urgent system needs.
- Travel to facilities as needed for training, troubleshooting, or implementation support.
- Work closely with the current PCC Administrator during a structured transition and training period.
Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- Advanced knowledge of PointClickCare (clinical workflows, user roles, reporting, integrations).
- Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and documentation requirements.
- Excellent computer and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train clinical staff on system usage.
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
