Position Title: Teacher Consultant
Location: East Region (Mason Consolidated and Monroe Public Schools)
Reports To: Special Education Supervisor/Regional Director
Salary/Benefits: According to Master Agreement with the MCIEA:
Available: February 18, 2026. Full-time, school year position.
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Work schedule based on district calendar.
FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Special Education Instructional Consultant works collaboratively with educators, students,
and families to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students with
disabilities. This position involves providing expert guidance on special education strategies,
individual education plans (IEPs), and fostering inclusive classroom environments.
Essential Duties:
- Support Classroom Teachers:
o Provide consultation and professional development for general education and
special education teachers on differentiating instruction for students with
disabilities.
o Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and
develop strategies for classroom accommodations.
o Collaborate with educators to create and modify curricula to meet the needs of
diverse learners.
