Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently throughout each shift
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or assembling ingredients when needed
- Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean serving ware and assisting with cleanup afterward
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety standards are met
- Keep the kitchen area tidy by regularly cleaning work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
- Familiarity with catering or banquet environments enhances your versatility in the role
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
