Summary
This Business IT Technician position offers the best of both worlds — working remotely to handle support tickets and providing onsite service to our valued clients when needed. The ideal candidate is a dependable, resourceful problem-solver who’s eager to grow in the IT field and can communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to business clients
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues (hardware/software)
- Install, configure, and support common business applications
- Perform Microsoft 365 user management and email troubleshooting
- Support printers and scanners, including IP configuration and network setup
- Assist with light network tasks related to routing, switching, and wireless
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in our ticketing system
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in an IT support, help desk, field technician, or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and business-class hardware
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online and user administration
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows domain environments, user permissions, and Group Policy
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and configure networked printers, scanners, and other peripherals
- Practical understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, and wireless networks
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues and work with limited supervision
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an MSP or in a fast-paced service desk environment
- Experience with firewalls, especially SonicWall
- Familiarity with RMM, PSA, remote support, and IT documentation platforms
- Experience supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 or 2025
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, file permissions, and basic server administration
- Exposure to virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V
- Familiarity with managed switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Microsoft AZ-900, or similar credentials
