Job Summary:
Delray Cafe is seeking part time line cooks for evenings and late nights. We are the food truck adjacent to Nickel City and serve from noon until 2:00 am 7 days a week. Applicants must be able to work nights and potentially weekends.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
- Cook food items by frying or sautéing as instructed
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant position
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and menu specifications
- Excellent time management skills
Skills:
- Cooking experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Culinary knowledge and skills
- Experience in the food industry with food handling expertise
- Strong understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
