Job Description
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer relations and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of care and support in and out of the pool. You will be responsible for improving the quality of swimming instruction and the safety of operations in and around the pool area. You will be required to assist in all, but not limited to, scheduling, swim instructor training, and monitoring the quality of customer service from all front desk receptionists. The role requires strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to effectively manage relationships with customers and employees.

About Us:
Tatsuki Swimming School provides year-round indoor swimming lessons for families in the Frisco and Plano area. Indoor swim classes are available for babies, toddlers, children, and adults in group swim lessons or private swim lessons format. Our swimming curriculum is designed to ensure your child’s success in becoming a great swimmer. Each swimming level has been developed with specific objectives that help our students improve their swimming techniques and be safe in the water. The Tatsuki swimming program started over 50 years ago in Japan. Our methods have been combined with local Texas swim instructor experience, placing us at the forefront of instructional swimming programs. The primary focus for Tatsuki Swimming School is teaching water safety and lifesaving skills. We teach a variety of swimming lessons to suit each child’s unique abilities to help the student grow both physically and intellectually.
Qualifications
- Prior swim instructor experience
- Prior leadership position as a manager or supervisor
- Experience working with children of all ages
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and be trained in the Tatsuki Swimming School curriculum
- Preference given to Lifeguard Certification or CPR Certification
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safe operations of swim lessons and pool deck activities
- Provide leadership, discipline and constructive feedback to all coaches ensuring the quality delivery of Tatsuki Swimming School’s curriculum
- Conduct skill assessments of students
- Interact with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Test pool chemicals at the beginning and end of every shift to ensure safety and cleanliness of pool facility
- Act as substitute instructor/receptionist when necessary
- Recommend areas for improvement for all staff
- Training front desk personnel in handling all customer requests regarding absences, makeups, drops, and enrollments
- Resolving customer service concerns in a professional manner
- Interview, hiring, and on-boarding new employees
Education and Experience
- Any combination of education and experience that leads to the successful completion of position duties and responsibilities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
