The Member Services Associate serves as the first point of contact for our facility, responsible for creating a welcoming environment while driving membership sales and program participation. This role combines exceptional customer service with sales abilities to enhance member experience and facility growth.
· Provide warm, professional greetings to all members and visitors
· Conduct facility tours for prospective members
· Answer inquiries about facility amenities, programs, and policies
· Monitor facility access to maintain security
· Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
· Present and sell membership packages to prospective members
· Promote facility programs, classes, and special events
· Process membership applications and payments
· Provide detailed information about current and upcoming programs
· Assist with member retention efforts through excellent service
· Support special events and promotional activities as needed
· Handle phone calls
· Maintain accurate member records and documentation
· Process daily transactions and maintain cash handling procedures
· Track and report sales activities
· Assist with social media and marketing initiatives as needed
· Monitor front entrance to prevent unauthorized access

Position Qualifications Required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales ability or willingness to learn sales techniques
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Previous customer service or sales experience
- Experience with membership management software
- Background in fitness, recreation, or related field
- Marketing or social media experience
Working Conditions/Hours Working
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Available to work week nights 4-9pm. Some weekends as needed
- May require participation in special events outside regular hours
- Indoor environment with occasional outdoor event support
