Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, limousines, or specialized paratransit vehicles to transport patients and clients to medical appointments, hospitals, or other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring their comfort.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger details in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns or special needs.
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures diligently to ensure the well-being of passengers and other road users.
Skills
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service that demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members.
- Knowledge of paratransit operations, commercial driving regulations, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and identify mechanical issues early.
- Excellent driving record with experience in school bus driving or <PERSON> driver roles preferred.
