Pet Care Attendant

We are seeking reliable team members who can thrive in a fast-moving environment while helping ensure every animal receives the care, safety, and consistency they deserve. Animals in our care rely on us every day, and we're looking for individuals who take that responsibility seriously.
Key Duties
- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs and other boarding animals
- Observe pets for changes in behavior, eating habits, or overall well-being and report concerns promptly
- Walk dogs several times throughout the day, regardless of weather conditions
- Help maintain a clean and sanitary facility by handling laundry, washing dishes, cleaning kennels, scrubbing floors, and scooping yards
- Complete assigned tasks independently while supporting fellow team members when needed
This is an active, hands-on role that involves frequent walking, lifting, cleaning, and monitoring animals throughout the shift. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong attendance record and dependable work habits
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and remain physically active for extended periods
- Confidence handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Availability Requirements
Scheduling flexibility is important, as staffing needs can vary throughout the year. Applicants should be available for:
- Early morning shifts beginning as early as 4:30 a.m.
- Evening shifts that may end around 8:00 p.m.
- Occasional extended or split shifts
- Weekends and holidays are required work days!
Part-time team members typically work between 15 and 30 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours during peak boarding seasons.
Preferred Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable transportation
- Previous experience working with animals is helpful but not required
