Senior Behavior Technician ($40)
Private family is seeking a reliable and compassionate senior-level Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) with at least 2 years' experience to support a young adult man with autism in his home and in the community. Training and ongoing support will be provided by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to young adult man with autism
- Support communication and social skills development
- Follow and implement a daily schedule of home and community-based activities
- Support independence with leisure skills, household tasks, and personal hygiene
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plan using reinforcement-based strategies and de-escalation techniques, as appropriate
- Facilitate community outings, recreation, and physical activities (e.g., gym, walks, shopping, swimming, art class)
- Collaborate effectively with family, BCBA, and other team members
- Collect data and maintain accurate documentation of client progress
- Provide transportation in personal vehicle to various community activities as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working in settings utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodology
- Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle, clear driving record, and auto insurance with 100/300 limits or 300 CSL
- Ability to make a minimum 1-year commitment
Schedule & Pay:
- $40/hour
- Part-time (20-23 hours per week)
- Shifts available: Monday-Saturday between 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
