Position Overview
MEC is seeking a dynamic Optical Dispensary Manager to lead operations at our Worcester area locations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily dispensary functions, driving sales performance, managing a team of optical associates and/or licensed opticians, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven experience in retail, healthcare or optical management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering results.
What You’ll Do
· Lead and manage all aspects of the optical dispensary, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with MEC standards.
· Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, providers, technicians, and administrative staff.
· Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing optical sales team.
· Oversee sales performance, inventory management, patient flow, and merchandising strategies.
· Ensure accurate processing of orders and insurance claims, and timely delivery of financial reports.
· Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including sales, collections, and receivables.
· Implement promotional initiatives and provide input on product selection and inventory needs.
· Serve as the primary liaison between MEC leadership and our client.

· Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
· Proficiency with all MS Office products
· Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to recruit, coach, and inspire a team.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
