School-Age Teacher (After School Program)
Kids Place at Grace is looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our After School Program team! We provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children ages 5–12 from a variety of local schools.
As a School-Age Teacher, you will help create meaningful experiences through homework assistance, games, enrichment activities, and positive interactions that support each child's growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children ages 5–12 in a safe and positive environment.
- Assist students with homework and provide encouragement when needed.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and enrichment experiences.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Be flexible and willing to assist in other classrooms or areas of the facility as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with school-age children.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, energetic, and dependable.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work with children ages 5–12.
