Business Development Representative (BDR) – Student & Graduate Career Placement (CDL Training)

Pay: Hourly pay + Uncapped Commission

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training school. This role is focused on reconnecting with graduates and former students, helping them secure employment with our network of trucking carrier partners, and building long-term relationships that improve student success and job placement rates.If you're energized by helping people change their lives while working with employers across the transportation industry, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Contact recent graduates and previous students by phone, text, email, and CRM campaigns.
- Guide graduates through the job placement process.
- Match students with opportunities from our carrier partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with trucking companies and recruiters.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate hiring activities.
- Track all communication and placement activity in the CRM.
- Follow up with students after employment to ensure successful onboarding.
- Work closely with Admissions, Training, and Career Services teams.
- Meet weekly placement and outreach goals.
- Help increase graduate employment rates and employer satisfaction.
QualificationsRequired
- 2+ years of experience in sales, recruiting, business development, staffing, customer success, or career services.
- Outstanding phone and communication skills.
- Comfortable making 75–150 outbound calls, text and emails daily.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to build trust quickly.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, CDL schools, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and commercial trucking is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
