We are seeking an experienced 503A Non-Sterile Compounding Technician to join our close-knit team. This is a full-time, daytime position with a consistent schedule—no nights, no weekends—ideal for an experienced compounder who enjoys the craft of compounding and wants long-term stability in an independent pharmacy committed to quality, compliance, and patient care.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on 503A non-sterile compounding experience is required. We are seeking a technician who can contribute meaningful compounding experience while embracing established procedures, quality standards, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Compensation: $24–$29 per hour, depending on relevant compounding experience, technical proficiency, certifications, and overall qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound non-sterile 503A medications in compliance with USP standards and state regulations
- Accurately follow Master Formulation Records, SOPs, and quality assurance procedures
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations, weighing, measuring, mixing, encapsulation, and documentation with precision
- Maintain complete and accurate batch records and compounding documentation
- Assist with inventory management, ingredient verification, lot tracking, and expiration monitoring
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding laboratory environment
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous process improvement efforts
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a 503A non-sterile compounding technician
- Thorough understanding of USP <795> and USP <800> requirements as they apply to non-sterile compounding
- Strong knowledge of compounding techniques, pharmaceutical calculations, documentation requirements, and quality assurance practices
- Demonstrated commitment to documentation accuracy, SOP compliance, and patient safety
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a regulated environment
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within an established workflow
- Current PTCB Certification
- Current Colorado Pharmacy Technician Registration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with veterinary compounding
- Experience with hazardous drug handling and USP <800> compliance
- Experience compounding creams, capsules, suspensions, troches, hormone preparations, and veterinary formulations
- Familiarity with compounding software and pharmacy workflow systems
- Experience participating in regulatory inspections, audits, or quality assurance programs
