Schedule & Work Settings

Full-Time: 30 to 40 hours per week (Typical shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Part-Time: 20 to 25 hours per week (Typical shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).

Standby / PRN: Onboard immediately to be first in line as localized vacancies open up.

The Setting: LPNs primarily lead 1:1 cases with medically fragile students. (Note: LPNs may assist within the health suites with the granted permission of MCPS)
Key Clinical Responsibilities
In the school health suite, you will utilize your clinical skills to support a diverse student population with varying medical needs, including:

Safe and accurate Medication Administration.

Diabetes management and tracking.
-
G-Tube / MIC-KEY Tube feedings and care.
-
Tracheostomy care and monitoring.
-
Implementing necessary seizure precautions and protocols.

Performing straight and Foley catheterizations as required.
Qualifications & Requirements

License: Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maryland or a Multi-State Compact license.

Certification: Current CPR / BLS Certification.

Environment: Must be oriented to a fast-paced environment and comfortable navigating technology and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Paid Onboarding & Preparation (Approx. 2 Weeks)
