About Charly's: Our mission is to become America's favorite dessert café—a place where people come to slow down, connect, and Fall in Love Again. We do this by serving exceptional handcrafted desserts, specialty coffee and beverages, premium ice cream, with our signature churros at the heart of our menu.
Located in the heart of FIU's Graham Center, our goal is to create a welcoming destination where students, faculty, staff, and visitors can take a break from their day and reconnect with what matters most: community, family, friendship, and the simple joy of sharing a great dessert.
Position Overview: We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable Crew Members who share our passion for hospitality and excellence. As a member of the CHARLY'S team, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences by delivering exceptional service, preparing high-quality products, and making every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Order Processing: Efficiently handle customer orders, process payments, and manage transactions.
- Food Preparation: Prepare desserts and beverages following CHARLY'S quality standards.
- Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in dining and preparation areas, including cleaning tables, floors, and equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with team members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols, including proper food handling and equipment usage.
Qualifications:
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication abilities.
- Team Orientation: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, and reaching.
