JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to lead our communication strategies and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication plans that enhance our organization's visibility and reputation. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare communications, particularly in environments such as Level I Trauma Centers, nursing homes, and acute care settings. The Communications Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and promote our services effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to create informative materials related to physical examinations, patient assessment, and sterile processing.
- Manage crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination during emergencies.
- Supervise a team of communication professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily activities.
- Foster relationships with media outlets and community partners to enhance the organization’s public image.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in healthcare communications to keep the organization at the forefront of effective messaging.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies through metrics analysis and feedback.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in a communications role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to cardiac catheterization, venipuncture, and acute care is advantageous.
- Experience supervising teams or projects is highly desirable.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a focus on strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of systems used in healthcare communications is beneficial.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Lead or supervisory experience in a call center environment.
- 2 years of progressive experience performing service-oriented tasks as a Lead or Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Health Care or Health Insurance.
- Experience with Service Relationship Management, Workforce Management, and Quality assurance tools.
