Customer Service Specialist
Position Summary
The Customer Service Support Technician is responsible for order entry, order maintenance and oversight of order fulfillment.
Major Roles & Responsibilities:
- Enters or audits new and revised orders into the BioSpectra ERP system
- Provides order status updates to internal and external customers
- Creates reports related to orders and order status.
- Maintains and updates information when required into the current ERP system regarding including pricing revisions, ship dates and quantity allocations
- Completes proper filing of documentation, both electronically and hard copies
- Follows up with customers who have ordered samples
- Works toward increasing knowledge and understanding of such things as international shipments, chemical properties and use of our products, as well as the BioSpectra business model
- Timely preparation and distribution of reports
- Keeps direct manager informed of all activity
- Other duties may be assigned, as deemed appropriate by managementGathers data for quotes, including, freight rates, dimensions, pallet count, etc.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and client management skills.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Good working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to learn chemical properties and how BioSpectra's products are used.
- Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities.
