Job Summary:
Altius Dispensary is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our retail cannabis store. As a Supervisor, you will lead a team of budtenders and staff, maintain high standards of customer service, ensure compliance with state regulations, and help drive store performance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cannabis products, possess strong leadership abilities, and have prior experience in retail or dispensary environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate budtenders and other staff to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked dispensary.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal cannabis laws and regulations, including verifying customers’ age and proper documentation.
Customer Service: Maintain a positive, knowledgeable presence on the sales floor, assisting customers with product selections and resolving any concerns or issues.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensure accurate product counts, and coordinate with the inventory team to place orders as needed.
Staff Training: Train new employees and provide ongoing development to ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about cannabis products and company policies.
Cash Management: Handle cash registers, ensure proper handling of transactions, and conduct end-of-day reconciliations.
Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, staff performance, and customer feedback to upper management.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in retail management or supervisory role, preferably in the cannabis industry or a related field.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and related accessories.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Compliance Focus: Familiarity with state cannabis regulations and commitment to operating within legal guidelines.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering a superior customer experience.
Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing inventory, cash handling, and compliance requirements.
Technology: Proficiency in retail POS systems we currently use Sweed, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Additional Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to pass a background check in compliance with state cannabis regulations.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.70 - $21.10 per hour
