Trained or willing to be trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
De-escalation techniques and supervision of escalated students
Ability to re-direct student to stay on task
Willingness to assist students with bathroom/hygiene issues
Flexible but dependable
Ability to follow prescribed program for behavior and academics
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions on the spot
Ability to support academic needs
Team player
Willingness to work in all K-5 classrooms
Behavior management skills
Compassion and understanding of special needs
Ability to physically maintain proximity to kids (i.e. track, recess duty, transport, work on the floor, etc)
Maintain structure and productive use of kids’ time
Able to provide written documentation of situations as they occur
