Job Overview
Roman Austin Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk / Legal Intern to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a current law student, college student interested in attending law school, recent college graduate planning to apply to law school, or someone pursuing a career in the legal field.
Working alongside our attorneys and legal team, you will gain hands-on experience in plaintiff's personal injury law while assisting with case preparation, legal research, and day-to-day litigation support. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organized, and excited to build a strong foundation in the legal profession.
This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
- Assist with drafting pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Organize and maintain client files, medical records, and case documents
- Assist with trial preparation, discovery, and litigation support
- Review and summarize medical records and other case-related materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and court personnel
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day case management
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed to support the litigation team
Qualifications
- Current law school student
- Current college student interested in attending law school, or
- Recent college graduate planning to apply to law school, or
- Individual pursuing a career in the legal field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Previous legal internship or office experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in plaintiff's personal injury litigation
- Strong research and writing abilities
- Ability to learn new technology and legal software quickly
- Positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative
