Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors and surfaces.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels according to hotel standards.
- Restock supplies like toiletries, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms and common areas to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards and report them accordingly.
- Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist with special cleaning projects such as deep cleans or industrial cleaning tasks when needed to uphold the hotel’s high standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or similar hospitality environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and polishing.
- Familiarity with janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools to perform efficient cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and experience managing housekeeping responsibilities is a plus.
