We are looking for a skilled bicycle technician with a passion for cycling. You’ll be working with our master mechanic on Fridays and managing repairs independently on weekends. We want someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in quality work. We hope you find joy in helping cyclists get back on the road.
Who we are
Tommy’s Bicycle Shop has been a part of McMinnville, Oregon, since 1949. Tommy’s Bicycle Repair is the only shop in the area, and we’re looking for someone to help us tackle our service backlog and grow with us.
About the job
You’ll service and repair bicycles in our private shop area, including work on our rental bike fleet. Fridays you’ll work alongside our lead mechanic for training and support. Saturdays and Sundays you’ll manage the shop solo from eleven AM to five PM. You can anticipate high repair volume, especially on weekends.
Qualifications
Bike shop experience is vital. Huge plus if you have experience with basic suspension service, electronic drivetrains, hydraulic brakes, wheel building, and detail-oriented skills.
Compensation and benefits
Nineteen to twenty four dollars per hour, DOE based on experience and certifications. Customers tip, which adds to your earnings. Employee discounts on all products and deep partner retail discounts.
