Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in health status
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Flexibility to work various shifts in a dynamic caregiving environment
