Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing and metrology services company, is seeking a CMM Programmer to join their team. As a CMM Programmer, you will be part of the Quality & Metrology Department supporting the Metrology Lab, Prototype Team, and Manufacturing Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CMM Programmer
Location: Trenton, Ohio.
Pay Range: $35 - $40 H/r
- Develop and modify CMM programs using Metrologic, PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, or similar metrology software to inspect metal and plastic components.
- Run layouts and inspections on parts, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling using CMM equipment and Faro Arm technology.
- Create detailed inspection reports and communicate measurement data to internal teams and customers.
- Troubleshoot existing programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with problem-solving activities.
- Support metrology lab operations through training, fixture design reviews, calibration activities, and leadership support when needed.
- 3+ years of experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Experience with PC-DMIS, Metrologic, PolyWorks, or related metrology software.
- Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to read CAD data and use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators.
- Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and APQP preferred.
