Facility Description:
The Great American Beer Hall is a tap room-style, American craft brewery beer hall that offers a wide array of the most popular craft beers from New England and the broader United States. Cocktails, wine, and other beverages are available as well. The GABH’s first floor features a 17,000 square foot tap room and a 4,800 sq. foot outdoor beer garden. Interior and exterior mezzanine levels round out the facility's design.
Job Description: Barback
All staff ensure a memorable experience for our guests by attending to our guests in a efficient, pleasant manner. All staff follow proper etiquette procedures and can handle themselves in the utmost professional manner.
Major Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Create a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere for the enjoyment of our guests.
- Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance always in accordance with established dress codes.
- Must be able to lift 45 LBS
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Be a team player and have the ability to work closely with others
- Effectively handle complaints and communicate them through the proper channels
- Work with a “sense of urgency” on behalf of our guests.
Job Tasks/List:
- Restocking liquor bottles, wine, cans, bottles and changing kegs.
- Learning cocktail recipes and other menu items
- Prepping cocktail batches and syrups
- Cleaning bar and table surfaces throughout the shift
- Wiping down chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces
- Removing and disposing of bags from trash receptacles in and around the bar area
- Removing used glassware and other utensils from customers’ tables during their stay
- Sweeping and mopping in and around bar service areas and customer common areas
- Answering customer questions and routing customer complaints to the appropriate staff member
- Stocking bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies (this may include restocking for bar opening or closing).
- Assisting setting up/breaking down of private events

Schedule: possible full-time/part-time, day and evening shifts
Salary/Compensation: $9 hourly plus tips
