The Orem Public Works Department is hiring for Concrete/Asphalt Laborers. This is a non-benefited position working in the Streets section. Employees in this position may be assigned to do concrete finishing or asphalt paving; experience in one or the other is desirable, but we are also willing to train! Concrete/Asphalt Laborers are responsible for performing manual tasks related to the construction and repair of streets, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. Tasks may including: trench patching, road overlay, cement finishing, and clean-up. May work in congested traffic at times. Operates light and heavy equipment and a wide variety of hand tools, and performs other duties as assigned.
